'This was one of my very first films, shot in November of 1978 at the Milton, MA rehearsal space of Boston rock band Phobia. Meth Death was written and sung by guitarist Kurt Henry, a friend from my teens whose broad artistic talent made him seem years older than he really was. This delightfully twisted track was band co-produced with the legendary \"Count\" Joe Viglione and capably engineered by Gary Soprano. I was never quite sure which \"meth\" Kurt was singing about, so methylated spirits, methadone, and methamphetamines were all included, just in case. On a technical note, this was shot with my favorite, long dead Super8 film Kodak 4-X Reversal 7277, a wonderfully textural stock which allowed for extremely low light level shooting. I think this was lit with a single 100 watt bulb!'
