The Amazing Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland) both take his passing in completely different ways. Whilst Spider-Man mourns, he understands that the city still needs protecting, now more than ever. He takes it in himself to step up and be there for the people of New York. J. Jonah Jameson, even with all his grievances against Spidey, gives the city a motivating speech as they try to pick themselves up from such a heavy loss. TASM struggles to cope with the loss of Spidey, much more so than Spider-Man does. He mourns and grieves on a daily basis, finding it difficult to move on and let go of his best friend. He cannot find the motivation to carry on, leaving Spider-Man by himself. Elsewhere, Miles Morales enrols in Midtown High whilst he stays with his uncle Aaron, he isn't sure where he's going and his future remains cloudy.
