'Fear of the Ocean Phobia – Thalassophobia. There are many phobias associated with water bodies and Thalassophobia is one of them. It refers to an intense and often unwarranted fear of the ocean. The word Thalassophobia comes from Greek thalassa meaning \'sea or ocean\' and phobos meaning fear or dread. When i saw Shallows on theathers i almost fell of my chair, a movie that happens in water makes me anxious, imagine this, only 5% of ocean is discovered, the rest is unknown, 95%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
