'Movie Review: Manto'

'Film Manto starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Rasika Dugal, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Rishi Kapoor, Danish Husain among others is about the life of author Saadat Hasan Manto during the time of partition. The story is however given a narrative on the basis of his writings, leaving the viewer uncertain whether the author’s real life was as portrayed in the film. The screenplay, sets and cinematography depicting India in the 40s is commendable. We rate it 3.5 stars.
