'Hum Naujewan was the last Navketan movie which had music by Rahul Dev Burman. After this movie Bappi Lahiri would enter Navketan Films adn would end a great era as far as Navketan Films\' soundtracks were concerned. Though Kishore Kumar would sing 2 songs in Navketan\'s next (Sache Ka Bol Bala) those songs would be picturosed on Jackie Schroff while Bappi Lahiri would be the voice of Dev Anand Hum Naujwan was the last film which had a Kishore Kumar song which was picturised on Dev Anand. \"You Are My Darling\" was a duet by Kishore and Penaaz Masani and was picturised on Dev and Tabu (who made her debut as Dev\'s daughter in this movie). Though Tabu had a small cameo in \"Bazaar\" during a song Hum Naujewan was her real debut movie. Atlee Brar also made his debut as a villain. Nothing became of him thanks to his drug problem and violent temper. Richa Sharma made her debut in this movie and would go on to marry Sanjay Dutt and become a mother to Trishala Dutt before succumbing to cancer. Bunty Behl made his debut as a hero in this movie as well. Bunty was a child artist before this and starred in movies as Dev\'s own WARRANT as well as in Hum Kisise Kum Nahin - the iconic Rishi Kapoor movie in which one version of \"Kya Huwa Tera Vaada\" was picturised on him. Zarina Wahab who made her debut in 1974 in the Dev movie ISHQ ISHQ ISHQ made her comeback in the Navketan camp. The highlight of this movie were the songs which are muted in this movie because of copyright issues. Otherwise the movie would be blocked.
